BASIC SERVICE WORK
Oil, Plugs, Tires
Iron King Cycles provides a full line of basic Harley service including engine, transmission and primary oil changes, ignition tuning, clutch tuning, carburetor tuning, etc. . Our shop is equipped to complete tire changing and balancing as well. Iron King Cycles uses a full line of Spectro Oil products for all V-Twin applications. These lubricants have race proven performance and are the best on the market.

THE HISTORY
ABOUT THE OWNER
Iron King Cycles was founded in 2016 by owner Aaron King. For over the last 20 plus years Aaron has been involved with the performance V-Twin industry. Starting as a young boy with his father Kevin in the family owned motorcycle business, Bones Cycle, Aaron quickly learned his way around a Harley and developed the skill to make them fast. Bones Cycle was a performance based motorcycle shop focusing on Harley Drag Racing. At that time, the Evolution Sportster and Big Twins were being developed in the racing world and many builders were now racing them. Kevin and Aaron were still racing and developing the Ironhead Sportster, giving the big dogs from S&S fits at the track by capturing the AMRA (American Motorcycle Racing Association) National #2 plate in 1996.
Learning the secrets of speed on the old iron developed a passion for building and developing V-Twins. During his high schools years Aaron built and fabricated a 120CI Sportster, AKA "Bone Rod", to be ridden on the street and raced at the drag strip. This motorcycle was one of Aaron's first ground up builds which became his guiding light for future designs. In 2004 Aaron graduated High School with the full intentions of continuing onto Iowa State University for mechanical engineering. With the custom motorcycle industry on the down fall at this time, the future of building motorcycles for a living in Iowa was not looking strong as many custom motorcycle shops were slowly going out of business and Harley drag racing sanctions were ceasing to exist. In 2006 Aaron made the decision to focus his schooling in a different direction at Iowa State University and pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. Upon graduating ISU in December of 2009, Aaron was quickly hired with the City of Ankeny as a Police Officer were he continues to work today. Since becoming a Police Officer Aaron continued to stay active with motorcycles, working on his own projects when time and finances allowed. Now married and a father of two, things have slowed down in life and the decisions to start Iron King Cycles was made allowing to him to work on and build bikes on a part time basis out of his home in Ankeny. Aaron has always strived to run a professional business atmosphere based on honesty and integrity much like his full time job of serving the community he lives in. Iron King Cycles looks forward to serving the consumer as well.
